All that to say . . . you know spring is officially here when you go to your first baseball game. Greg and I got to go see the Charlotte Knight's play on Saturday with a group of college students from Mission 28. We had a blast! The weather was perfect. We got a foot long hot dog (yes, Dad, Knight's stadium now serves foot longs . . . ), some nachos, and a drumstick. Greg caught a foul ball (1 of 3 that were hit pretty much directly to us, next time he'll bring his glove, haha). Our team won 2-1 with a fantastic home run hit out of the park. And there were fireworks at the end. Couldn't have asked for more.

Baseball is not only THE national pastime, but it's quite possibly the Baumgartner Family pastime as well. My Dad's family nearly lives at the baseball field during the spring and summer months . . . I'm looking forward to Zach's first t-ball team with much anticipation =)

This brings back memories of spending all day most Saturdays at NorthSide when the boys played ball :). You have glorious memories to be made!!!
Sounds like fun!! I know Joe & Alathea had a great time too...once Abi is a little older we'll all be at the game. You'll have to let Greg know Joe was quite jealous he got the ball...and had three try's at it! I heard all about it :) Joe gets pretty serious when it comes to catching the foul balls!
Great snag Greg!
Dude, Hilary, I keep trying to get a group of people to go see the local farm team here in Asheville, and NO ONE wants to go. They definitely do not share our love for baseball. Glad you guys had fun!
Oh..Just so you know, I finally updated my blog..haha..Love you!
