Son-Father fishing

Fishing seems to a traditional Father-son bonding experience. For whatever reason, Dad and I never did much of that when I was younger. It's probably due to all the various sports activities we did...soccer baseball and basketball kept us pretty busy on weekends. Ever since graduating from college I've really gotten into fishing and now I've gotten Dad into it so the roles are somewhat switched!

Anyways, Dad and I were able to take a trip up to Stone Mountain State Park (http://www.ncparks.gov/Visit/parks/stmo/main.php) and do some trout fishing on some of their well stocked catch and release streams. We also took his Mini Cooper which was a blast to drive in the mountains.

This was his first time fishing with his new fly rod that he got for his birthday and he learned pretty quickly and caught a decent sized Brook Trout about 8 inches long.

Later in the day I finally landed a 12 inch Brookie.

Awww! Someday little Zach will be falling in that pond and scaring the fish away :). Love you!

Greg, first rule of father-son fishing, never catch a fish bigger than your dad's. Second rule, if you catch a fish bigger than your dad's never admit it in public. ;0) By the way, Steve, nice pants. You now look ready to become a grandfather.
